“We are at a hard bargaining stage for LNG developments and provincial and federal governments,” explains our energy lawyer David Austin, who was recently interviewed on CKNW Radio and CBC News regarding Petronas, a Malaysian state-owned oil and gas company, threatening to pull out of LNG developments in BC. David characterized Petronas’ requests as the type of negotiating that one would expect from someone who is considering a potential investment of over $10 billion.
