Seva Batkin is featured in the November 2011 edition of Internet and E-Commerce Law in Canada. His article, “Domain Names – A Type of Property” discusses the recent case Tucows.Com Co. v. Lojas Renner S.A., in which domain names were classified as a type of property. The Ontario Court of Appeal’s decision affirms what was long suspected to be the legal status of domain names in Canada.
